Recently, a new campaign was launched on June 1, 2026 by BJ Mercantile called “Scania Good Driver Competition” with the purpose of reducing fuel consumption, carbon emissions and evaluating the driver’s good habits and behavior while driving.
For the month of June, it was Jaymar Singun of GV Florida Transport, Inc. who took the top spot as the Good Driver for the month of June 2026.
What does it take to be a Good Driver?
For Jaymar Singun of GV Florida, it goes beyond simply knowing how to drive. It means knowing your bus, staying alert, checking it before every trip, and putting what you learn into practice.
With 15 years of driving experience and 2 years behind the wheel of a Scania bus, Jaymar shares how Scania’s driving experience, safety features, and performance help him stay confident and focused on the road.
“Ang gaan ng trabaho at pagmamaneho sa Scania” says Jaymar. He attributes the safety features of Scania Bus such as Hill Hold, Traction Control and Scania Retarder that give him the confidence especially while traversing the challenging route and road conditions of Northern Luzon.”
