BJ Mercantile, Inc. officially handed over six brand-new THACO Cruizer 120-51, 2×2 buses to Quezon Solid South Transport Inc. (QSSTI) on July 6, 2026. The formal handover ceremony took place at the BJ Mercantile showroom, marking a major fleet expansion for the prominent provincial bus operator.

Strategic Fleet Expansion for Quezon Routes

The acquisition is part of Quezon Solid South’s continuous efforts to upgrade public transport services across the Southern Tagalog region. These six new coaches will soon be deployed to serve commuters traveling between Metro Manila, Quezon Province, and neighboring areas.

According to Mrs. Leonila Chito, Chief Operating Officer of P & O Transportation,

QSSTI is a newly born company that was registered before pandemic but because of the pandemic lockdown, operation was stopped. So, this is the first brand new units of QSSTI.

Engineered explicitly to match the structural demands of major Philippine highways, the THACO Cruizer 120-51 premium coaches leverage modern passenger-centric features and a highperformance drivetrain. Key specifications of the newly delivered fleet include:

The introduction of these completely built units (CBUs) addresses growing regional logistics and commuter demands while supporting local operators actively refleeting with cleaner, modern alternatives. For drivers, the new Cruizer platform offers enhanced dashboard ergonomics and road durability. For daily passengers and tourists heading south, the fleet promises a significantly safer, more reliable, and comfortable travel experience. P&O Transportation who is a sister company of QSSTI, is the first Bus client of BJ Mercantile and the 1st owner of Scania Marcopolo in the Philippines.
